While checking out other websites/blogs with Random Musings in the title, I came across one from a guy by the name of Sandeep. You can see his post here.
The post mentioned how he had found that GMail doesn’t recognize dots/periods in user names. I guess it caught my eye since I use a dot in my GMail address.
According to Google, these are all the same….
o homerjsimpson@gmail.com = hom.er.j.sim.ps.on@gmail.com
o homerjsimpson@gmail.com = HOMERJSIMPSON@gmail.com
o homerjsimpson@gmail.com = Homer.J.Simpson@gmail.com
I thought I was clever when I made up the user name, adding capital letters and a dot to make it unique. So sad.
Now that I think about it, I have two GMail addresses with periods!
