{"id":1726,"date":"2012-06-21T16:37:12","date_gmt":"2012-06-21T23:37:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.computerabuser.com\/?p=1726"},"modified":"2012-06-21T16:41:51","modified_gmt":"2012-06-21T23:41:51","slug":"hey-netflix-canada-wheres-stargate-atlantis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.computerabuser.com\/?p=1726","title":{"rendered":"Hey Netflix Canada, Where&#8217;s Stargate Atlantis?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1730\" title=\"Stargate Atlantis (image from Wikipedia)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.computerabuser.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Stargate_Atlantis_intro-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.computerabuser.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Stargate_Atlantis_intro-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.computerabuser.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Stargate_Atlantis_intro.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Many moons ago I mentioned that I was <a title=\"Netflix Canada \u2013 Missing TV Episodes?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.computerabuser.com\/?p=1443\" target=\"_blank\">interested in watching some recent TV show additions to Netflix Canada<\/a>. \u00a0In particular <a title=\"Farscape on Wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Farscape\" target=\"_blank\">Farscape<\/a> and <a title=\"Stargate SG-1 on Wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stargate_SG-1\" target=\"_blank\">Stargate SG-1<\/a>. \u00a0Both shows that I missed the first time that they aired.<\/p>\n<p>Well, shortly after that post I started watching Farscape. \u00a0It was great, loved it.<\/p>\n<p>Then I started watching Stargate SG-1. \u00a0Another great show, loved it.<\/p>\n<p>In the case of Farscape, it was cancelled in the final season without notice, so it ends on a cliffhanger. \u00a0Luckily, a <a title=\"Farscape: TPW on Wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Farscape:_The_Peacekeeper_Wars\" target=\"_blank\">2 part mini-series<\/a> was released to wrap everything up. \u00a0Unfortunately, it&#8217;s not available for streaming on Netflix, so I had to download it illegally. \u00a0\ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In the case of Stargate SG-1, the series finale is not really a series finale and is instead a lead up to <a title=\"Stargate SG-1 Movies\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Stargate_SG-1_episodes#Series_overview_and_home_release\" target=\"_blank\">two direct-to-DVD movies<\/a> that were released in 2008. \u00a0It&#8217;s available on Netflix, but not in Canada. \u00a0BOOOOOOOO<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, I have also been testing out the <a title=\"UnoTelly\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unotelly.com\/unodns\/\" target=\"_blank\">DNS redirecting service from UnoTelly<\/a>, so I was able to circumvent the system and watch them anyway. \u00a0(On a side note, I should have a review of the service up in a few weeks).<\/p>\n<p>Which brings me to the title of this post. \u00a0Hey Netflix Canada, where the hell is Stargate Atlantis? \u00a0I can see that it&#8217;s on Netflix US. \u00a0Why carry Stargate SG-1 and not Atlantis? \u00a0Or Stargate Universe for that matter? \u00a0Pretty shitty move getting us hooked on Stargate by giving us SG-1, but then cutting us off!!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ComputerAbuser<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many moons ago I mentioned that I was interested in watching some recent TV show additions to Netflix Canada.
